Give Every Child the Opportunity to Fulfill Their Potential
Every parent wants their child to get a great head start in their early learning. For some, however, this is not a financially viable option.
At Rainbow's End, we believe that all children should have access to quality care and education, no matter their financial situation. Starting a fulfilling education at a young age is crucial for every child so that they can begin their academic career well-prepared.
By supporting Rainbow's End through the Earned Income Tax Credit Program (EITC), your company can provide financial aid to children who depend on it.
Through EITC, you can put your tax dollars toward bettering a Rainbow's End child's education, instead of paying the state of Pennsylvania. You are investing in a child's education at no additional cost to you, while also fulfilling your own federal tax responsibility.
Your business (see below for eligibility) can earn up to a 90% state tax credit on its contribution. For contributions to Pre-Kindergarten Scholarship Organizations, a business may receive a tax credit equal to 100% of the first $10,000 contributed and up to 90% of the remaining amount contributed up to a maximum credit of $200,000 annually.
Your business is eligible to participate in the EITC program if it is authorized to operate in Pennsylvania and pays one of the following taxes:
- Personal Income Tax
- Capital Stock/Foreign Franchise Tax
- Corporate Net Income Tax
- Bank Shares Tax
- Title Insurance & Trust Company Shares Tax
- Insurance Premium Tax (excluding surplus lines, unauthorized, domestic/foreign marine)
- Mutual Thrift Tax
- Malt Beverage Tax
- Retaliatory Fees under section 212 of the Insurance Company Law of 1921
The following are due dates for the EITC application:
- May 15 – Businesses who want to reapply
- May 15 – Businesses in the middle of their 2-year commitment
- July 1 – Businesses who are first-time applicants
